Fantasy Premier League 2026/27 Season Preview
Hey friends,
After a wildly successful season of 40 FPL newsletters and a fresh F1 newsletter, we are back once again on the eve of the 2026/27 FPL season in the only country we care about football, England.
Our Badminton (Baddy) League is coming into its fourth season and let’s take a quick recap of the season’s gone by.
Derek’s Cole Fired Palmer roared ahead in our most recent 2025/26 season with a magnificent trophy to honour his efforts.

And it was the most smooth sailing season in our Baddy League thus far. Similar to Cole Palmer’s 2024/25 season where he just couldn’t miss a penalty, Derek practically nailed every single decision to storm home with a victory of over 100 points, a lead never seen before in previous seasons.
Starting fresh with a new team name, I’m sure he’ll be Lacroix-ing out loud with his prior season performance to establish himself as the manager to beat in 2026/27.
It wasn’t all easy for Derek from the get go though, as Duy’s Duzor was the manager who came flying out of the gates with an early lead with triple Forest of all teams.
Anderson was a cornerstone of Duy’s team alongside Shaw, and they had some great times along the way. I’d say Duy’s unfortunate downfall probably started from his first wildcard in GW 9, where he had a whopping 43 points on his bench. Not even our meticulously planned bench boosts later in the season could surpass such a tremendous score.
Going back one year to 2024/25, Sandra’s SZ took home the first season with a prize on the line.

While Sandra wasn’t able to go back to back, she still had some iconic moments, namely her 1 man bench boost of Dubravka scoring 2 points, just 41 points shy of Duy’s greatness.
We all had iconic moments of our own; Brian’s The Liabilities just so happened to be captaining Haaland into vice captaining Semenyo in a week where Man City weren’t playing. Such liabilities, am I right? Why aren’t they scoring points against no opponent?!
I’m sure Brian will come back stronger with his new team name BurnBabyBurn. Maybe Newcastle’s concerning loss of players will be to Brian’s FPL advantage, as Derek had an incredible FPL season in a not so great Chelsea season.
Here’s hoping Newcastle don’t fall as hard as West Ham dropping down to the championship league, where Dan’s mascot Bowen will be playing for the 2026/27 season. Much respect to Bowen’s loyalty to his club, and I’m sure Dan will find another great bloke to serve as his mascot.
And that brings us back to my XOXO from Mitoma setting the tone in our debut 2023/24 season, a season where I scammed a win out of Derek falling for a fake lineup leak, benching Isak instead of Wilson. Now neither Isak nor Wilson play for Newcastle anymore. Oh, how times fly.
Bless up,
Keven
