FPL Classic GW 2: The Liabilities are Lifesavers and our Starting 11 is Drowning
Duy’s Duzor (GW 52 / 2nd, Total 134 / 1st)
Duy holds his spot at the top with some bold transfers, showing he demands the absolute best from his players.
Last week, Gakpo scored 7 points, but Duy still moved him on for Semenyo. This week, Semenyo managed 6 points while Gakpo hauled 10, leaving Duy with a net loss of 4 points and a transfer.
Duy also took a 4 point hit to bring in Acheampong for Konsa, only for Acheampong to take the plunge and not play, chalking up another net loss of 4 points. Luckily, Van de Ven stepped up with 6 points against Man City to soften the blow.
Brian’s The Liabilities (GW 59 / 1st, Total 102 / 3rd)
From zero goals and zero assists last week to four goals and two assists from Brian’s seven attackers this week. It was an incredible turn around to top score the Baddy League this week, led by the lifesavers Captain Saka (12), Gyokeres (12) and Joao Pedro (15).
Brian was also kind enough to give Vu a lesson on the importance of bench order while our starting 11 is drowning. By placing Gudmundsson (-1) against Arsenal ahead of Esteve (6) against Sunderland, he cost himself seven points.
Perhaps inspired by Sandra’s excellent bench last week, Brian answered back in style, claiming the top scoring bench this week with 12 points.
Vu’s Laser (GW 41 / 5th, Total 82 / Last) (Wildcarded)
Vu took Brian’s seven lost points and nearly doubled them, with Calafiori (13) coming off the bench for Robertson (DNP, going under). Vu also showed great bench management by placing Haaland (2) last on the bench, correctly predicting a blank against the Spurs.
That makes it 41 points in back to back weeks for Vu, an impressive show of consistency.
Sandra’s SZ (GW 43 / 3rd, Total 95 / 4th)
Right after mentioning Everton not being able to keep a clean sheet in August since 2021, they went ahead and broke the drought. Tarkowski (8) was the top performer in Sandra’s team this week.
Sandra also nailed her bench order, smartly putting Esteve (6) against Sunderland ahead of Gudmundsson (-1) against Arsenal, banking the seven points that Brian will be wishing he had too.
Derek’s Cole Fired Power (GW 42 / 4th, Total 119 / 2nd)
After bench boosting GW 1, Derek entered GW 2 facing a real benching dilemma.
Brighton ended up being the bane of his week. De Cuyper (0) against Everton looked like the obvious choice ahead of Van de Ven (6) against Man City, but that backfired. To make matters worse, Welbeck (0) missed a penalty in that same match.
Thankfully, Ndiaye (8) from Everton helped soften the blow.
Fun fact: Derek has tripled up on West Ham the first two weeks… and between them they’ve managed just 5 points in total.
Keven’s The Assets (GW 38 / Last, Total 92 / 5th)
It feels like opposite week, The Liabilities are flying high, and The Assets are sinking low. Business isn’t looking so good anymore.
I’m skating on a paper thin bench too, with Dubravka (2) being the only substitute who even played.

Top weekly score tracker: Duy’s Duzor with 86 in GW 1.
Keep well and stay swell~
