FPL GW 14: The Palace Guards

Only had one day between end of GW 14 and GW 15, so this is a quick newsletter.

Derek’s Cole Fired Power (GW 67 / 4th, Total 797 / 1st)

With 19 points on the bench this week, Derek leads overall points on the bench at 148 (Duy is second with 132). Just a great performance this season both on and off the field.

Vu’s Laser (GW 66 / 5th, Total 745 / 2nd)

Vu is second having only played the wildcard. He’s still got Triple Captain and Bench Boost to play by GW 19 before the second batch of chips come through.

Sandra’s SZ (GW 80 / 1st, Total 739 / 4th)

Double Palace defence: Richard (9) and Munoz (14).

Out of the 9 top scoring defenders so far, 5 are the Palace defence.

Brian’s The Liabilities (GW 74 / 2nd, Total 723 / Last)

Brian also has double Palace defence: Guehi (14) and Munoz (14).

And that’s why Sandra and Brian were the top two scorers in our league this week.

Dan’s A-Cunha Matata (GW 54 / 7th, Total 732 / 5th)

The only manager to not captain Haaland (14) in our league this week and it cost Dan 8 points.

Duy’s Duzor (GW 52 / Last, Total 732 / 6th)

Imagine picking Gvardiol (0) over a Palace defender.

Keven’s The Assets (GW 60 / 6th, Total 740 / 3rd)

I’m right there with Duy on selecting Gvardiol (0) over a Palace defender.

Top weekly score: Vu’s Laser with 93 points in GW 10.

Top weekly bench score: Duy’s Duzor with 43 points in GW 9.

FPL Draft

Keven’s The Assets (43, 1st) def. Duy’s Duzor (37, 5th)

Duy going through the Gvardiol (0) pain in both Classic and Draft.

Brian’s The Liabilities (57, 4th) def. by Vu’s Laser (65, 2nd)

Brian very unlucky to lose with the second highest score this week. Vu with a monster 65 points, with Foden and Haaland combining for 31 points.

Turns out selecting Haaland over Salah in the draft was genius.

Derek’s Cole Fired Palmer (33, Last) def. by Sandra’s SZ (38, 3rd)

Sandra’s double Palace defence once again coming in clutch.
