FPL GW 20: Sakädinger’s Cunha
Derek’s Cole Fired Power (GW 71 / 1st, Total 1,178 / 1st)
Gabriel (9) is back from injury and Derek, being streets ahead, has already transferred him in for an immediate return.
On 29 December, Gabriel was $6.2m.
On 5 January, one week later, Gabriel is now $6.6m.

Gabriel has the fifth most points out of all the players at 106 despite missing six games.
Derek also has the other four top scorers of the season thus far:
- Haaland (GW: 2, Total: 157), who has blanked three gameweeks in a row for the first time this season
- Rice (GW: 17, Total: 119)
- Semenyo (GW: 1, Total: 114); and
- Thiago (GW: 17, Total: 108)
Sandra’s SZ (GW 60 / 2nd, Total 1,095 / 2nd)
It was the gameweek before the mid-season chip reset,
Saka was up against Villa,
Cunha was up against Wolves,
Villa were third,
Wolves were last,
Saka was ~$10m,
Cunha was ~$8m,
Bench boost imminent,
Funds required,
Saka out for Cunha,

Saka outscores Cunha by 4 points,

No worries,
Gameweek 20 is here,
Bench boost over,
Funds redistributed,
Take a hit, why not?
Cunha back to Saka,

And Cunha outscores Saka by 5 points.

And Sandra still got the second best score this week with Rice (17) and Thiago (17).
Dan’s A-Cunha Matata (GW 57 / 3rd, Total 1,086 / 3rd)
Dan has the best of both worlds with Saka (4) and Cunha (9).
Complemented by the Newcastle duo of L. Miley (7) and Hall (6), the only thing he missed this week was Rice.
Keane (0) has been disappointing since that GW 18 bench boost…

But at least Thiago scored most of the goals!
Duy’s Duzor (GW 51 / 5th, Total 1,069 / 4th)
Let’s cast our mind back to gameweek 9.
Duy wildcarded into a 43 point bench.
Shaw scored 9 points despite Man United conceding two goals.
Duy would not make the mistake of benching a Man United player again.
Gameweek 10 (-4): Fields Shaw (1) ahead of Scott (5).
Gameweek 11 (-12): Fields Shaw (1) ahead of Anderson (9).
Gameweek 12 (-19): Fields Shaw (2) ahead of Anderson (9).
Gameweek 13 (-19): Fields Shaw (1) ahead of Cucurella (1).
Gameweek 14 (-19): Benches Shaw (1) for Chalobah (1).
Gameweek 15 (-19): Fields Shaw (2) ahead of Rogers (2).
Gameweek 16 (-18): Benches Shaw (0) for Van de Ven (1).
Gameweek 17 (-18): Benches Shaw (3) for Chalobah (3).
Gameweek 18 (-23): Benches Shaw (5) for Chalobah (0). Man United get their first clean sheet since gameweek 7.
Gameweek 19 (-23): Fields Shaw (2) ahead of Scott (2).
Gameweek 20 (-25): Fields Shaw (2) ahead of Anderson (4).
Duy missed his spray.
Summary:
Gameweeks 9-12: Clearly missed points.
Gameweeks 13-17: Missed points due to recoil (bad fortune telling).
Gameweeks 18-19: Very close, but fixtures and unluckiness make these reasonable point misses.
Gameweek 20: Likely didn’t score points because this season feels like it’s already over.
Keven’s The Assets (GW 52 / 4th, Total 1,049 / 5th)
I spent so much time on the above section that I’m just gonna give myself a yee-haw for Malick Thiaw (17).

Brian’s The Liabilities (GW 35 / Last, Total 1,040 / Last)

Bruno G. (10) just about the only thing that went right for Brian this week.
Cherki (4) is no longer a Baddy League differential, but following my moves is not recommended. We need to learn from Derek.
Bless up,
Keven
