FPL GW 27: Duy scores a goal to cut the lead to 96 points
Derek’s Cole Fired Power (GW 38 / Last, Total 1,589 / 1st)
It’s been a while since Derek had a terrible week, ranking 9 mil for the week. Good to see that four of us were only able to close the gap by 6 or fewer points. Maybe that’s why we’re so far behind… can barely even make ground when Derek has a bad week.
The differential captain on Bruno (2 x 2 = 4) over Haaland (6) was pretty much the main difference maker that enabled us to make ground.
Jan Paul Van Hecke (9) was a bright spot in an otherwise poor gameweek.
Duy’s Duzor (GW 56 / 1st, Total 1,493 / 2nd) (Wildcard)
Duy was the only one who was significantly able to capitalise on Derek’s misfortunes by simply doing his own thing and one of us is finally within 100 points of Derek! Better watch out, Duy’s coming for ya.
Wildcarded in Cole Palmer (3 x 2 = 6) and of course he blanks against Burnley off the back of 32 points in the last two weeks.
There’s been a Virgil (11) resurgence, a surprise but a welcome one.
No more Haaland, but what’s more tragic is no more Anderson. What did he do to deserve this?
Sandra’s SZ (GW 43 / 3rd, Total 1,447 / 3rd)
One week of Timber and Sandra has already had enough of him, immediately going budget in defence with Alderete (1). Why not Hill (6) and why am I not transferring this guy in either?

Let’s head over to the predictions corner.
Sandra originally wanted to transfer in another midfielder over Semenyo (4) who returned more and early transferred them in once the gameweek was over.
On initial look, I thought she wanted Wilson (8), but she transferred out Wilson (8) for Semenyo (4)?!
So I guess it must be Mbeumo (6) then?
Find out next time in the next edition of the newsletter!
Keven’s The Assets (GW 44 / 2nd, Total 1,446 / 4th)
I am now on the Bournemouth duo of Senesi (5) and Rayan (3). Why I chose Senesi over Hill I couldn’t tell you. Actually, I can. It’s because I just base my moves on who’s going to price rise (https://www.livefpl.net/prices) on the day I feel like making transfers, and it just happened to fall on a day that Senesi and Rayan were due to rise. Hill has also risen since that Senesi transfer. Can’t go wrong with popularity, right?
I have the highest squad value at $103.8, even higher than Derek’s $103.7. Stonks on investments, I’m leading the league in something, points don’t matter.
Dan’s A-Cunha Matata (GW 41 / 4th, Total 1,430 / 5th)
Speaking of squad value curiosity, Dan’s at $98.8m, less than what we started with?! Maybe it should be differential Dan instead of differential Duy (Duy’s at $102.4).
A nice differential captain on Mbeumo (6 x 2 = 12) over Haaland (6) for a net gain of 0 points. Times like this are where we think why do we even bother doing something different to achieve the same result. At least we didn’t differential captain Bruno, aye?
Brian’s The Liabilities (GW 40 / 5th, Total 1,422 / Last)
Joao Pedro (7 x 2 = 14) has scored at least 7 points in the last six gameweeks. Can he go seven weeks in a row of returns against Arsenal this week?
I still refuse to transfer Joao Pedro in, following in Derek’s footsteps of course. He knows his Chelsea, and if he trusts Enzo (2) over Joao Pedro (7) and Palmer (3), I do too.
Munoz (9) third on the bench against Wolves was certainly a decision. Palace are in shambles though so I can respect that decision. Let’s captain Bruno against Palace this week, shall we?
Bless up,
Keven
