FPL GW 36: One Final Hurrah, Pep says Nah
Dan’s A-Cunha Matata (GW 107 / 1st, Total 2,023 / 5th) (Brench Boost)
All eyes on Dan in what was probably the final chance of winning the weekly prize, and he gave it a darn good shot.
Leeds defence didn't work out against a Spurs side floating above relegation, Danny Welbeck (2) was not the goat we thought him to be and Bruno (3) gave a rare blank after 8 consecutive 4+ point returns.
Differential Captain Semenyo (24) looked disastrous after the first game where Haaland (11) scored a goal and assist, only for Pep to not play Haaland (and O'Reilly) in the second match against Palace. Pep reminded us once again that he is the master of destroying our FPL dreams while still winning matches in the PL.
Brian’s The Liabilities (GW 106 / 2nd, Total 2,043 / 4th) (Triple Captain)
Brian was the dark horse in winning the weekly prize with triple captain Haaland (33) before he got Pep'd.
Rayan (9) once again proved to be better than Tavernier (2), but things got a bit too fancy when Brian swapped Semenyo (12) for Cherki (5). Cherki (5) went through quite an ordeal, getting subbed at 59 minutes in game 1, started on the bench in game 2, and salvaged his score with an assist in the end.
Roefs (6) also pulled out a clean sheet against Man United, showcasing how good Sunderland have been this season, so much so that they're ahead of their crosstown rivals Newcastle on the ladder.
Keven’s The Assets (GW 83 / 3rd, Total 2,090 / 2nd) and Sandra’s SZ (GW 83 / 4th, Total 2,090 / 3rd)
Another week of points equalisation with Sandra. While Sandra has Brighton assets in Verbruggen (6) and Van Hecke (6), going anti-Arsenal has let her down. I've been enjoying Raya (9) and Gabriel (11), but going anti-Brighton has let me down.
Derek’s Cole Fired Power (GW 77 / Last, Total 2,211 / 1st)
Now what do you get when you combine Brighton and Arsenal? You get Derek with Verbruggen (6), Van Hecke (6) and Gabriel (11) for 77 total points, 6 less than Sandra and me. Wait, what?
Turns out, the key was DCL (7) all along.
Duy’s Duzor (GW 82 / 5th, Total 1,994 / Last)
Differential Donnarumma (14) over Haaland (11) arguably worked out, but captaining O'Reilly (10) was very unfortunate in what has been the story for Duy this past month.
In brighter news, mascots Anderson (12) and Shaw (6) continue to show up for Duy.
Bless up,
Keven
