FPL GW 38: Winner Winner Cole Fired Palmer

2025/26 done and dusted, congrats to Derek taking out the FPL Baddy League in extraordinary fashion. We never stood a chance in the latter half of the season.

Derek’s Cole Fired Power (GW 66 / 2nd, Total 2,327 / 1st)

Last gameweek of the season, West Ham need to beat Leeds and Spurs need to lose to Everton to get relegated, new recruits Bowen (12) and Mavropanos (8) came in clutch, KDH (2), not so much.

Spurs were just too good and the financial suffering will now cost London taxpayers; thank you Boris Johnson?

Sandra’s SZ (GW 66 / 3rd, Total 2,229 / 2nd)

Getting Pep’d and Arteta’d with Haaland, O’Reilly, Saka and Saliba all not playing.

At least Bruno VC (14 x 2 = 28) came in to preserve 2nd place, but I’d like to think I have a more aesthetic final score with 2,222 points.

MGW (9) ends the season strong, like Vu did in the draft league, top scoring with 1,707 points, while I was 1 point short at 1,706…

Keven’s The Assets (GW 65 / 4th, Total 2,222 / 3rd)

I knew Raya wasn’t going to play, but I didn’t expect Burnley to also not play Dubravka, leaving me with no goalkeeper in the final week of the season.

I only got to enjoy Tavernier (10) and Mavropanos (8), who Sandra for wasn’t willing to take a hit for???

Duy’s Duzor (GW 81 / 1st, Total 2,148 / 4th)

Duy makes a huge comeback in the final week to clinch fourth, 1 point ahead of Dan, clearly showing who the superior brother is at FPL.

Watkins (13) was great against *checks fixtures* Man City, mascot Shaw (6) once again delivers and Hermansen (7) was the best goalkeeper of the week.

Dan’s A-Cunha Matata (GW 64 / 5th, Total 2,147 / 57)

Dan captains Salah one final time in FPL, and although this cost him against Duy, it was an honorary send off.

Salah truly ascended last season, scoring 344 points, with the next highest scoring player not even surpassing 300 points. It may not have been a fairytale ending (1 assist at least?), he will always be my Liverpool legend.

Dan also transferred in Bowen (12) for the final week, finishing what he started in GW1. It all ties back together.

Brian’s The Liabilities (GW 57 / Last, Total 2,136 / Last)

Top 2 or bottom 2, never middle 2 occurs once again in the final week of the season even with a great Haaland to Bowen (12) transfer.

Turns out Anderson (2) couldn’t deliver the heroics like he did in the previous few weeks.

Bless up,

Keven
