FPL GW 5: Gunners get Gulled
Derek's Lacroix-ing out loud (GW 57 / 2nd, Total 361 / 1st)
Hall (13) rebounds with a strong performance during Newcastle’s great run of fixtures, Pickford (8) stands strong as a set and forget keeper and Isak (8) is a top three forward alongside Haaland and JP.
Sandra's SZ (GW 58 / 1st, Total 353 / 2nd)
Gross (14) gets his 3rd double digit haul of the season to become the top scoring player of the season after dismantling Arsenal. Sandra took a hit to bring in Neco Williams (2) only for Forest to lose to Coventry, and benched De Cuyper (6) only for Brighton to keep a clean sheet against Arsenal.
Duy's Duzor (GW 38 / 5th, Total 330 / 3rd)
Belloumi (4) cheese was an inspired pick up and Cherki (8) has been Duy’s best differential from his starting squad.
Suzuki (2) continues to get outperformed by the safe hands of Verbruggen (6).
Dan's New team 9 (GW 35 / 6th, Total 326 / 4th)
Barnes (9) was a great transfer for Newcastle’s good run of fixtures, putting a stop to Hull’s dominance at the top.
It’s a hard life having such a strong full squad because Dan had to bench the likes of Verbruggen (6), Gomez (8) and Ajer (7). But no one saw Brighton's huge 125 year anniversary buff against Arsenal.
Keven's defconsistent (GW 46 / 3rd, Total 325 / 5th) (Bench Boost)
Always a wonderful experience to bench boost into the 3rd highest score of the week. Wissa (0) missed a penalty and how silly was I to captain MGW (4) against Coventry.
Brian's BurnBabyBurn (GW 42 / 4th, Total 279 / 6th) (Wildcard)
Brian joins myself in selecting the wrong Newcastle player in Wissa but thankfully had Gross (14) salvage his week.
Bless up,
Keven
