FPL GW 8: Overseas Edition
Hey friends,
I’m coming in with an overseas edition of the newsletter, so I’ve kept the commentary brief.
FPL Classic
Derek’s Cole Fired Power (GW 60 / 4th, Total 466 / 1st)
Derek takes the lead in the Baddy League thanks to his Chelsea defence duo of Sanchez (5) and Cucurella (8).
Duy’s Duzor (GW 44 / 7th, Total 457 / 2nd)
Duy is unable to maintain top spot while sustaining his Nottingham Forest trio of Anderson (4), Wood (1) and Ndoye (DNP) for the last five game weeks.
Sandra’s SZ (GW 58 / 5th, Total 436 / 3rd)
Mateta (17) is her saviour.
Keven’s The Assets (GW 71 / 1st, Total 433 / 4th) (Wildcarded)
A successful wildcard to triple up on Arsenal, so I can enjoy FPL through Liverpool’s downfall.
Vu’s Laser (GW 62 / 2nd, Total 427 / 5th)
Vu is also having a great game week with a triple up on Arsenal while Liverpool is on a downfall.
Brian’s The Liabilities (GW 61 / 3rd, Total 398 / 6th)
Bruno (8) is so back.
Dan’s A-Cunha Matata (GW 58 / 5th, Total 383 / Last) (Wildcarded)
Glad to have Haaland (13) now, but captaining Bowen (4) instead was costly.
Martin’s Big M (GW 36 / Last, Total 155 / Started GW 6)
It’s a rough week when goalkeeper Roefs (7) is your top scorer.
Some quick fire stats for the season thus far:
Total Bench Points
1. Dan: 86
2. Sandra: 76
3. Derek: 74
4. Brian: 73
5. Keven: 61
Dan is not having a good time.
Total Goals
1. Duy: 23
2. Derek: 22
3. Sandra: 19
4. Brian: 17
5. Vu: 15
Top 3 managers with the top 3 goals scored. Adds up.
Total Clean Sheets from GK and DEF
1. Brian: 12
2. and Dan :12
3. Vu: 11
4. and Duy: 11
5. Derek: 9
Defence does not appear to be the best offence.

Top weekly score tracker: Duy’s Duzor with 86 points in GW 1.
FPL Draft

Sandra’s SZ (31, 3rd) def. by Keven’s The Assets (52, 1st)
Sandra’s Reijnders (1) is failing to justify being a top draft pick.
My Arsenal duo Gabriel (12) and Saka (7) are doing some heavy lifting.
Vu’s Laser (42, 2nd) def. by Derek’s Cole Fired Palmer (62, 4th)
Vu still doesn’t have a playing goalkeeper.
Derek was on fire with Mateta (17) and James (18).
Duy’s Duzor (34, Last) drew with Brian’s The Liabilities (34, 5th)
Duy fell for the classic Richarlison (1) trap and was blindsided by Watkins (1) starting on the bench.
Brian is struggling with his Liverpool trio of Salah (2), Isak (2) and Wirtz (1).

Keep well stay swell~
