FPL GW 32: BrightON, SpursOFF
Derek’s Cole Fired Power (GW 65 / 2nd, Total 1,908 / 1st) (Wildcard)
Just another successful move by Derek, wildcarding into the second best score of the Baddy League this gameweek. It was simply a matter of triple Brighton, carried by a Bart Verbruggen 9 pointer and his trusty, faithful, reliable, Jan Paul Van Hecke contributing 5 points. Derek even had the luxury of benching one of his Brighton players in Groß (6) against Burnley.
Derek is back to his namesake in Cole Fired Palmer (4), who returned through 12 defensive contributions. A $10.5m premium defensive midfielder on penalties, that’s what we pay the big bucks for.
In more important news, Spurs are in the relegation zone and face Brighton next gameweek. Brighton have conceded in their last 3 home games and kept a clean sheet in their last 3 away games. Spurs will be an away game for Brighton, so it’s practically one guaranteed clean sheet for Derek’s double up on Brighton defence.

Keven’s The Assets (GW 46 / Last, Total 1,772 / 2nd)
I may have tanked this week going anti-Brighton and triple Leeds but it’s all part of my master plan to win the weekly prize next gameweek. That’s what I tell myself at least while I have Dubravka’s amazing fixtures of City and Forest, which some may call land and nature, and by some, I of course mean no one.
Dan’s top weekly score of 98 points in GW 17 will be challenged next gameweek because I can guarantee at least one team will bench boost. He’s definitely in danger because we’ve all seen how much Dubravka can bench press by himself.

Sandra’s SZ (GW 61 / 3rd, Total 1,761 / 3rd)
Sandra’s impeccable research delivers yet again, as Mavropanos went on to score a whopping 21 points this gameweek, the highest of any player. The only thing she forgot to do was transfer him in, but her actual selection in Van Hecke was still a respectable choice for 5 points.
Liverpool were up against Fulham this week, and Sandra surprisingly benched both her Liverpool players, Virgil (9) and Ekitike (DNP), in favour of her two Fulham players, Andersen (1) and Wilson (2). Although the FPL outcome was less than desirable, at least Liverpool are in the hunt for a top 4 finish?
Duy’s Duzor (GW 52 / 4th, Total 1,740 / 4th)
Duy’s really having a bad time with Arsenal defenders this season, doubling up on Timber and Hincapie, only for both to not play. Arsenal conceded 2 goals and lost, which they clearly deserved for not following Duy's recommendations.
Shaw finally got tired of being on Duy’s bench for the last five gameweeks, so he yelled put me in coach just to deliver a big fat 0.
The only man Duy can rely on nowadays is honest worker Anderson with another solid 4 points.
Brian’s The Liabilities (GW 67 / 1st, Total 1,713 / 5th)
Brian had a great recovery this gameweek, going from the bottom to the top. The key was to make absolutely zero changes from the last gameweek which was three weeks ago. It really goes to show how sometimes the best move is to do nothing.
Dan’s A-Cunha Matata (GW 52 / 5th, Total 1,704 / Last)
Dan also followed Brian’s set and forget strategy, but wasn’t as successful with the results. Captain Raul (1 x 2 = 2) had a 10 minute appearance against Liverpool, which I’m sure is a decision Sandra would approve.
Bless up,
Keven
